      Yes. Every living thing on our plane has a unique DNA sequence (except clones and identical twins!).

      Plants of the same species will have far more similar DNA to each other than to other types of plants. Their DNA works the same as ours, encoding the instructions to build the plant.

      In fact, a lot of DNA is common between animals and plants for the basic building blocks of cells. We have 50% the same DNA as a banana!
